Cardinal Bozanić on the Death of Don Živko Kustić

"The late Don Živko, through his priestly service and many years of journalistic work in the launching and leading of Glas Koncila and the founding of the Catholic Press Agency—IKA—Zagreb, made an exceptional contribution to the Church among the Croatian nation."

Zagreb, (IKA) – On the occasion of the death of the Rev. (Don) Živko Kustić, Archbishop Josip Cardinal Bozanić of Zagreb sent condolences to Bishop Nikola Kekić of Križevci,:
“Having learned that Don Živko Kustić has died, I send my sincere Christian condolences to you, his family and relatives, the clergy and faithful of the Eparchy of Križevci, and all who mourn Don Živko’s death. I have prayed for the dear departed and commended his noble soul to Divine Mercy.
“The late Don Živko, through his priestly service and many years of journalistic work in the launching and leading of Glas Koncila and the founding of the Catholic Press Agency—IKA—Zagreb, made an exceptional contribution to the Church among the Croatian nation. As a journalist, commentator and columnist, he covered events in the homeland and Universal Church and constantly urged the faithful to live according to the authentic Christian values to which he testified through his life.
“In gratitude for the love and goodness in the life of the dear departed, with faith and hope we commend him to the Lord, who said: ‘I am going to prepare a place for you.’ May the Good Lord forgive his sins and grant him the joy of heavenly communion with the saints and elect.”
