Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan Jovan Pavlović of Zagreb-Ljubljana Has Died

Zagreb, (IKA) – Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan Jovan Pavlović of Zagreb-Ljubljana died on April 3, 2014, at 6:10 p.m. in Zagreb following a brief illness. Metropolitan Jovan was born on October 22, 1936, in the Slavonian village of Medinci near Slatina. He was appointed a bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1977 and became the Metropolitan Bishop of Zagreb in 1982.
The funeral of Metropolitan Jovan will be held according to his personal wishes at the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb, on Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m., as announced on the website of the Metropolinate of Zagreb-Ljubljana.
