Nuncio D'Errico Visited Metropolitan Jovan
Zagreb
Zagreb, (IKA) – The Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia, Archbishop Alessandro D’Errico, accompanied by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Apostolic Nunciature in Croatia, Msgr. Mauro Lalli, visited the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan of Zagreb, Ljubljana and All of Italy, Jovan Pavlović, on July 13 in Zagreb. In an atmosphere of fraternal cordiality, the Nuncio recalled that Pope Benedict XVI had said at the beginning of his pontificate that he wanted ecumenism to be his fundamental responsibility. “I would like to reaffirm my desire to assume as a fundamental commitment working with all my might for the re-establishment of the full and visible unity of all Christ’s followers,” said the Holy Father in Bari on May 29, 2005.
Archbishop D’Errico and Metropolitan Jovan also discussed areas of cooperation, especially in the social and cultural spheres, as well as the common testimony of Christian faith, and agreed that there will be frequent meetings in the future.
