The Pope in Croatia: 1,250 Media Representatives Accredited

Zagreb, (IKA) – Approximately 1,250 media representatives have been accredited to cover the apostolic visit by Pope Benedict XVI to the Republic of Croatia. Some 900 are domestic and 300 are foreign, from approximately 130 newsrooms, according to a statement issued today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The accredited media representatives are arriving from approximately 25 countries around the world, including Italy, Germany, Poland, France, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United States, Russia and Mexico.
They will be representing about thirty television stations and as many radio stations from Croatia and abroad, as well as the leading world news agencies.
The airplane bringing Pope Benedict XVI to Croatia will also be carrying approximately fifty journalists accredited to the Holy See from all the major world media.
