Zagreb, (IKA) – The official song of the First Encounter of Croatian Catholic Families, to be presided over by Pope Benedict XVI in Zagreb on Sunday, June 5, was presented on Friday, May 20 on several radio stations. It was presented on Croatian Catholic Radio by Petar Krešimir Hodžić, Head of the Office of the Croatian Conference of Bishops for the Family and Coordinator of the Subcommittee of the CCB for the Preparatory Period and Preliminary Program before the Celebration of the Mass with the Holy Father at the Zagreb Hippodrome.
“Faithful to Christ Forever” (Kristu vjerni zauvijek) is the title a text by a group of authors (Bruno Kozina, Verica Kraš Villa, Krešimir Miletić and Petar-Krešimir Hodžić), set to music by Bruno Kozina, and arranged and produced by Goran Kovačić. The song is performed by Band aid Fides, Čedo Antolić, Željka Marinović and Renata Sabljak. All those who participated in the writing and performing the song have donated their services as a gift to Croatian families and the Holy Father.
“The song ‘Faithful to Christ Forever,’ with its powerful and profound lyrics, presents the family as our heritage and future, connecting it with God in whom the family finds its strongest support. In the best possible way, this contemporary song expresses the meaning and message of the First Encounter of Croatian Catholic Families,” said Dr. Hodžić.
“I wanted to tell the story of a person who discovers the joy of communion with Christ, indicating what is most essential – encounter with Christ, the Holy Father and families,” explained Bruno Kozina, composer of the music and the main lyricist.
