Pope to Visit Croatia on June 4 and 5, 2011

The National Encounter of Catholic Families and the Apostolic Visit by Pope Benedict XVI to Croatia will have the motto "Together in Christ," according to a statement issued by the Permanent Council of the Croatian Conference of Bishops.

Zagreb, (IKA) – The Permanent Council of the Croatian Conference of Bishops, on behalf of all the Croatian bishops, in consultation with the President and the Government of the Republic of Croatia, have announced that Pope Benedict XVI has gladly accepted an invitation and will make a pastoral visit to Croatia on June 4 and 5, 2011, according to the Press Office of the CCB.
Pope Benedict XVI will stay in Zagreb on the occasion of the National Encounter of Croatian Catholic Families and on this occasion pray at the tomb of the Blessed Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac. The national encounter of Catholic families and the Pope’s visit will have the motto “Together in Christ.” The program of the visit will be published at a later date.
