The Dean of the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb has Died Suddenly

Dr. Zdenko Tomislav Tenšek was a member of the Croatian Capuchin Province
Zagreb, (IKA) – Dr. Zdenko Tomislav Tenšek, the dean of the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Zagreb and a member of the Croatian Capuchin Province of St. Leopold Bogdan Mandić, died unexpectedly early this morning at the Capuchin monastery in Zagreb-Dubrava.
Tomislav Zdenko Tenšek, born on October 1, 1943 in u Zadravec, the parish of Orehovica, Hrvatsko Zagorje. He pursued post graduate studies in Strasbourg, France, where he earned a master’s degree (1969–1971), and at the Pontifical Gregorian Academy in Rome (1977–1981), where he earned a doctorate.
He was a member of the Croatian Capuchin Province of St. Leopold Bogdan Mandić. For six years, he was a very active provincial (1982–1988), and subsequently served several mandates as the deputy provincial and definitor. In the year 1993, he was appointed to the cause of the Servant of God Father Ante Antić.
He was a professor at the Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Zagreb, where he served in the office of dean of the Faculty, and was also a member of the commission of the Zagreb Archdiocese for Catechesis in School. Since 1996, he had been a member of the Council for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Croatian Conference of Bishops.
