Special Plenary Session of the Croatian Conference of Bishops

Zagreb (IKA) – A special plenary session of the Croatian Conference of Bishops met on Monday, January 23 at the Secretariat of the CCB in Zagreb. The president of the CCB, Archbishop Cardinal Josip Bozanić, presided. The bishops discussed several aspects of their forthcoming ad limina visit to Rome that has been announced for July 3 to 11 of this year. After a report on the Eleventh World Synod of Bishops held last October in Rome on “The Eucharist: Source and Summit of the Life and Mission of the Church,” the bishops discussed the implementation of the synod conclusions and guidelines at the level of the Church in Croatia. The bishops also discussed several current matters concerning the Church and society in Croatia.
In addition to the members of the Croatian Conference of Bishops, the session was also attended by the apostolic nuncio in the Republic of Croatia, Archbishop Francisco Javier Lozano, according to a statement issued by the Secretariat of the Croatian Conference of Bishops.
