Zagreb (IKA) – He shall remain in our memory as a Pope of great charism, noted the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana and All of Italy, Jovan Pavlović, in an expression of condolences sent to the president of the Croatian Conference of Catholic Bishops, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, on the occasion of the death of the Holy Father.

In sorrow, we suffered and prayed for the Holy Father with Christians of the Holy Roman Church and the whole world who sympathized while he fought for his life during his last days, wrote Metropolitan Pavlović, calling for prayer for the Pope’s soul and prayer that the Holy Spirit will protect his Church and help it choose a suitable successor.
