Croatian Jewish Motifs Featured on Ties

Academia Cravatica, in collaboration with the Jewish Community of Zagreb and the company Kravata — Croata, presented a collection of ties featuring motifs from the Jewish religious heritage

Zagreb, May 14, 2003 (IKA) — A collection of ties featuring motifs that are part of the Croatian Jewish heritage was presented on May 14 in Zagreb. This fashion collection, created through the collaborative efforts of the Academia Cravatica, the Jewish Community of Zagreb and the company Kravata — Croata, incorporated motifs from the Jewish religious heritage, as explained by Prof. Marijan Bušić, head of Academia Cravatica, and Mira Wolf, the chairwoman of the Heritage Committee of the Jewish Community of Zagreb. A letter from Dr. Goran Granić, chairman of the Government Commission for Relations with Religious Communities, was read aloud. The Žožer Band performed several Jewish compositions. Among those attending the presentation was the Chief Rabbi of the Republic of Croatia, Kotel Dadon. Texts were read aloud in Hebrew by Laila Šprajc-Boduljak and in Croatian by the actor Rajko Bundalo.
