Sarajevo, 2. 01. 1996. (IKA) – Life of Catholic Church ill Bosnia and Herzegovina was the main subject of Fourth Bosnia and Herzegovina Bishops Conference session, from 27th to 9th December. Bishops expressed their regret because Banja Luka bishop Franjo Komarica could not participate the session. They had not have met him, because of difficult situation in Banja Luka. diocese, for more then nine months.
Bishops have considered the perspective of spiritual and material renewal of local churches. They, also, have found, with surprise, that there is only one Catholic humanitarian organization in Sarajevo. Bishops have addressed a letter to Holy See, in which they ask, if it is not possible an apostolic nunciature in Sarajevo to be opened, then a dispatching office to be opened. Opening of Vrh-Bosnia Catholic Theological School in Sarajevo and start of new academic year in it and the return of buildings of Travnik Seminary and Gymnasium were also discussed. Vrh-Bosnia assistant bishop Pero Sudar was elected for chief secretary of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bishops Conference, and Banja Luka diocese vicar dr. Mile Aničić for director of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bishops Conference Caritas. Possibility of joined work of Vrh-Bosnia High Theological School and Franciscan Theology in Sarajevo was also discussed.
