Auxiliary bishop Marko Culej, Caritas representatives and Serbian Orthodox Church representatives in visit to western Slavonia, may 9th. 1995.

Zagreb, May 8, 1995 (IKA) – The Zagreb auxiliary bishop Msgr. Marko Culej will lead the group of representatives to Western Slavonia, Tuesday, May 9. 1995 in agreement with Cardinal Franjo Kuharić, archbishop of Zagreb. The delegation consists of the following organizations: Caritas Croatia, Caritas Zagreb, Italian Caritas, Caritas Germany, Caritas Austria and Catholic Relief Services (CRS), a representative from International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) from Geneva, Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Zagreb. They will visit the following places:
Novska, Jasenovac, Stara Gradiška, Gornji Rajić, Gornji Bogićevci, Okučani, Čaglić, Lipik and Pakrac. This visit an aim and that is to have first hand information with regard to the needs of population in that area and in what way they can be assisted. The second aim is to see in what state are the sacral buildings of the Catholic and Orthodox Church and then how to organize the regular pastoral care of those Christians in that area.
