Sarajevo, 2. O1. 1996. (IKA) – Bishop of Rottenburg Stuttgart diocese Mon. Walter Kasper visited Sarajevo at the end of December, as a representative of German Bishops Conference. According to Catholic Press Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bishops Conference, during his stay in Sarajevo, bishop Kasper met Vinko Cardinal Puljić, Mostar-Duvno bishop Ratko Perić, Vrh-Bosnia assistant bishop Pero Sudar and the representatives of Serbian Orthodox Church, Jewish community, Islamic community and Republican government . Giving the support to the priesthood and to the believers, bishop Kasper said in his preach during the Mass in Novo Sarajevo: “We haven#!t forgotten you and we want to help you in the renewal of ecclesiastic structures and life. Tlns difficult war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. is an examine of conscience for the whole Europe. The whole Europe has to concentrate upon God. We have to cut the devil#!s circle of injustice and violence and turn to peace”.
