Campaign by Caritas Croatia to Help Refugee Victims of Conflicts, Persecution and Wars in the World

Zagreb, (IKA) – According to a decision by the President of Caritas Croatia, Msgr. Josip Mrzljak, in light of the humanitarian refugee crisis Caritas Croatia has sent Caritas Macedonia and Caritas Serbia 10,000 EUR each from the Fund for Emergency Response, announced the Press Office of the Croatian Conference of Bishops.
We invite all who want to support Caritas’ projects for assisting the refugees and displaced persons in the world, especially in our neighboring countries and, if necessary, also in Croatia, to donate money to the available options to help alleviate the uncertainty, anxiety and privations of people who have been forced to leave their homes. Caritas Croatia will implement projects in cooperation with Caritas Internationalis and Europa, the national branches of Caritas in neighboring countries and other non-governmental organizations in the field. “Although various difficulties exist in Croatia, it is our Christian and human responsibility to open our hearts to refugees in existential uncertainty and extreme need,” said Msgr. Fabijan Svalina, the Director of Caritas Croatia.
Assistance will include food, water, toiletries and psychosocial support. Part of the funds will be spent for the distribution of humanitarian aid and for the activities of the teams in the field who will provide psychosocial support to the refugees and help distribute humanitarian aid.
Payments can be made to the bank account Hrvatska Caritas, Ksaverska cesta 12a, 10 000 Zagreb, PBZ, IBAN: HR0523400091100080340, reference number: 2015; purpose of payment: refugee assistance.

Let us join together in solidarity and pray for an end to this tragedy,” said Msgr. Mrzljak, President of Caritas Croatia.
