“Croatia has to be free in a peaceful way”

Dr. Peter Kuzmič talked in the name of Protestant-Evangelistic Council and called Croatian Government and confessional communities to turn to the future and to divert firmly of all steps that lead toward past. Dr. Kuzmič also emphasized that all Christians are called in the spirit of Christ#!s love and truth to promote the civilization of unity and love, the same as Pope John Paul II permanently says. Church Zdenko Hliše witnessed his satisfaction with confessional freedom in Croatia, and he warned that there are still wrong opinions by a few confessional communities,
but he believes that it will stop soon.
The importance of confessional communities in the moral education and in the renewal of the country
President Tu?man expressed in his congratulation his satisfaction with the presence of Serbian Orthodox Church at New Year#!s reception, and thanked to all confessional
communities for co-operation concerning the accommodation and help to refugees, displaced persons and other victims of war, calling them to continue the co-operation so that Republic Croatia could really become a blessed country for all its citizens.
Repeating his stand point concerning the need of peaceful return of the occupied parts of Croatia, Croatian President asked the representatives of all confessional communities to take part in moral education of Croatian citizens and in the renewal of the country.
