German donators and their godchildren met in Šibenik

Šibenik, 22. 10. 1996. (IKA) – Donators from German diocese Trier visited their godchildren in hotel “Imperial” in Vodice, Šibenik, on 22nd October. That was the first meeting of 47 German families and children from Šibenik after five years. These German families were helping the children with contributions in money during the war in Croatia. The leaders of German delegation were Trier bishop Karl Heinz Jacoby, who is the commissioner for the public relations of Trier Caritas, and the president of the society “Maltese knights” of the same German province Ulrich Mathey. The lead of Šibenik diocesan Caritas don Slavko Mikelin, representative of “Maltese knights” in Dalmatia father Ante Babić and the mayors of Vodice and Skradin Ivas and Nikola Širinić were also present at the meeting.
