Great Interest in Online Retreats

A total of 12,198 persons have already signed up to receive these retreats, materials for spiritual meditation and individual prayers via e-mail.

Pazin/Zagreb, (IKA) – Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, was also the first day of online retreats initiated by the confraternity of the Franciscan monastery in Pazin, in in collaboration with several Franciscan friars. A total of 12,198 persons have already signed up to receive these retreats, materials for daily spiritual meditation and individual prayer via e-mail, which were prepared for the six weeks of Lent by friars from the Franciscan monastery in Pazin: Friar Drago Vujević, Friar Marinko Klaić and Friar Josip Vlašić, who were also joined by Friar Darko Tepert, Friar Tomislav Šanko and Friar Željko Barbarić. During Lent, there will be meditations according to St. Peter of Alcantara, a spiritual advisor to St. Teresa of Avila. In the online program, Sundays and Mondays will be devoted to spiritual reflection, Tuesdays to religious writings (an examination of conscience in the fourth week), Wednesdays and Thursdays to meditation, Fridays to the Way of the Cross and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and Saturdays to the Rosary of Our Lady, i.e., devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
