Liturgical Roles in the Celebration of the Eucharist with the Pope at the Zagreb Hippodrome

Readings, Prayers of the Faithful, Bearing of Gifts and Communicants
Zagreb, (IKA) – At the celebration of the Mass with Pope Benedict XVI on June 5 at the Zagreb Hippodrome, the first reading is read by Katarina Varenica and the second by Rene Medvešek.
The participants in the prayers of the faithful are Neda Radojčić-Petrić of the Diocese of Kotor, John Vice Batarelo of the Office of Pastoral Ministry to the Family of the Archdiocese of Zagreb, Anica Ćaćić of the Diocese of Srijem, Zlatko Gregov on behalf of the Council for the Family of the Croatian Conference of Bishops, Sonja Hajdinjak Matušek as the representative of Croatian Ministry outside Croatia and Dražen Živić on behalf of the Family Association of Vukovar.
The participants in the bearing of the gifts include the newly married couple Karabaić of the Diocese of Krk, the married couple Radić with three children who are also expecting another (as the logo of the encounter) of the Eparchy of Križevci, the Šarić family who are blessed with many children of the Archdiocese of Zagreb, the married couple Maslać who have a child who became ill postnally of the Archdiocese of Rijeka, the married couple Periša with a child who is a religious candidate as representatives of the Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the married couple Bošnjak representing those active in an association, movement or community for promoting the culture of life of the Archdiocese of Đakovo-Osijek.
At the Mass, the Pope distribute Communion to an engaged couple (Marija Marušić and Ivica Kuliš) of the Archdiocese of Split-Makarska, the young married couple Čavlina who are expecting their first child of the Diocese of Dubrovnik, the married couple Zrilić whose children received First Communion and Confirmation in 2011 of the Archdiocese of Zadar, the married couple Kunižić whose child was afflicted with a prenatally diagnosed disease of the Diocese of Šibenik, the married couple Drpić who have an adopted child of the Diocese of Hvar-Brač-Vis, single parents Milica and Klaudija Jerković whose husbands are deceased of the Diocese of Gospić-Senj, a family of a Croatian veteran active in the military or police (the Sedlar family) of the Military Ordinariate, the married couple Lerotić who will be celebrating their golden anniversary in 2011 of the Diocese of Sisak, the family of a married couple active in preparations for marriage (the Pažin family) of the Diocese of Bjelovar-Križevevci, the family of a married couple active in pastoral ministry after marriage (the Vujica family) of the Diocese of Poreč-Pula, the family of a person active in a Church marriage and family counseling center (the Barbarić family) of the Diocese of Požega, the family of a married couple active in an association, movement of community promoting the values of marriage and the family (the Lukavečki family) of the Diocese of Varaždin and Sister Katarina Pišković with two children from an orphanage.
