President of the County Prof. Dr. Toma Prošev greeted the participants and said a few words about the County. County was established, by a great support of Zagreb Archbishop Cardinal Kuharić, on the day of St. Clement, 11th December 1994th. It has about 400 believers. County got the church of St. Rocco from Zagreb archdiocese for permanent usage. But, it has a great problem – the lack of priests, who come 4 to 5 times a year, during the main holidays, from Macedonia. One more Macedonian Orthodox Church had no right to establish its own church counties in other republics of former state. It became possible by the democratic changes. So, the first county was established in Zagreb. At the meeting, they have read a request addressed to Macedonian Orthodox Church St. Synod asking to discuss the possibility that Macedonian Orthodox Church change from Julian to Gregorian Calendar. Ing.Tomislav Zajčevski was elected for the new president of The County in place of Prof. Toma Prošev who also was the County#!s first president. Ognjen Bojadžiski was elected secretary for the second time. New president presented his three tasks: to ensure their own church with altar for proper Eucharist, to have permanent presence of priests and to enrich the spiritual life of the believers and to enlarge their number.
