Meeting between Cardinal Josip Bozanić and Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor

The upcoming visit by Pope Benedict XVI to Croatia was discussed.
Zagreb, (IKA) – On January 17, the Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Jadranka Kosor, met at the residence of the archbishop in Zagreb. During the meeting, they discussed the upcoming visit by Pope Benedict XVI to Croatia, including preparations that have already been completed and remaining tasks.
The Prime Minister acquainted Cardinal Bozanić with the status of the final negotiations for accession to the European Union, as well as economic, social and demographic projects undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
There was also discussion of topical issues of particular importance to the citizens of the Republic of Croatia. Cardinal Bozanić thanked the Prime Minister for her efforts on behalf of the citizens of Croatia in her responsible office, according to a statement issued by the Government Office for Public Relations and the Press Office of the Zagreb Archdiocese.
