Meeting of the Bishops of the Croatian-Slavonian Church Territory

Zagreb, (IKA) – On Thursday, February 7, the Thirty-Fourth Meeting of the Bishops of the Croatian-Slavonian Church Territory was organized at the residence of the archbishop in Zagreb, according to the Public Relations Office of the Zagreb Archdiocese, with the archbishop and metropolitan of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, presiding. The meeting was also attended by Bishop Marin Srakič of Đakovo and Srijem, Vladika Slavomir Miklovš of Križevci, Bishop Antun Škvorčević of Požega, Bishop Josip Mrzljak of Varaždin, Auxiliary Bishops Đuro Gašparović and Đuro Hranić of Đakovo-Srijem, and Auxiliary Bishops Vlado Košić and Valentin Pozaić of Zagreb.
Following introductory remarks by Cardinal Bozanić and the reading of the minutes from the previous meeting, the court vicar, Dr. Josip Šalković, reported on the work of the courts of the Croatian-Slavonian Church Territory. A proposal was also discussed for a new manner of financing the Interdiocesan courts, which was proposed by the econome of the Zagreb Archdiocese, Ivan Hren. Bishop Srakić introduced a discussion on the relationship between bishops and priests according to recent Church documents.
