Medjugorje, March 25, 2003 (IKA) — The Internet server Bljesak Info of Mostar conducted a survey among radio listeners in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Besides local radio stations, the survey list also included four radio stations that broadcast programs throughout much of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the data obtained, the most popular radio station in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is Mir Medjugorje, with a 14.1% share of the audience. It is followed by HR Herceg-Bosne, Radio Federacije BiH and BH Radio 1.
The managing editor of Mir Medjugorje, Fra Mario Knezovic, considers these results as confirmation of the correctness of the orientation of this radio station that promotes a genuinely humane attitude and healthy religiousness. He also pointed out that it is evident that listeners are hungry for content that will encourage and inspire them under the difficult social and spiritual conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mir Medjugorje currently broadcasts programs on eight transmitters and live via the Internet. The programming schedule of this station has over thirty weekly topical programs that are religious, public affairs, cultural or entertainment in character.
