Archbishop Srakić expressed the hope that the new building would improve the operations of the Croatian Conference of Bishops, for the benefit of our Church and nation.

"The basis for the founding of this university is an attempt by the Church, in the fulfillment of its calling, to provide assistance within the Croatian system of higher education ... We are aware that the Church and gospel also have something to say to university life," observed Cardinal Bozanić.

Cardinal Bertone assessed the relationship between the Holy See and Croatia as excellent.

The book contains homilies delivered by Cardinal Bozanić from 1998 to 2008 on the Feast of the Blessed Alojzije Stepinac from as well as the pastoral letter, "The Most Illustrious Figure of the Church of God among the Croats," written on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Cardinal Stepinac

An exhibition of printed materials on the heritage of the beatus, held in the assembly hall of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Institute, was prepared by Glas Koncila and will be on view from September 17 to 24.
