Zagreb, May 8, 2003 (IKA) — The procedure for accepting applications for press accreditation during the visit by Pope John Paul II to the Republic of Croatia began today, May 8, and will continue until midnight of May 25, 2003, according to the Office of Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. Only precisely and completely filled out applications will be accepted. The form for persons and vehicles is available in electronic format at the following internet addresses: http://akred.inet.hr; http://ared.vip.hr; and http://akred.hinet.hr. The Web Page provides brief instructions for completing this form.
A correctly completed form may also be typewritten and sent to the Office of Public Relations by regular mail or fax.

A new accreditation is required for each location. On the form, there is no way to indicate the locations at which the media representatives intend to cover the events. Therefore, media representatives must inform the Office of Public Relations by telephone, fax or e-mail in which cities they intend to cover the events, because otherwise it will not be possible to issue accreditations.
