Sarvaš, 8. 5. 1996. (IKA) – President of Serbian Orthodox Church county in Osijek Zdravko Tanacković has met with proto-presbyter stavrophoros Srećko Leskovac, parish priest and arch-presbyter#!s emissary for Osijek, by the occasion of the regular meeting of divided families, Tuesday, 7th May. In interview for IKA, Tanackoviæ said that proto-presbyter stavrophoros Leskovac, who had left Osijek in 1991st and who is living in occupied Tenja now, expressed his wish to return. According to Serbian Orthodox Church law, Sreæko Leskovac is still the parish priest and arch-presbyter#!s emissary for Osijek, said Zdravko Tanackoviæ.
The same day, an inter-confessional prayer for peace, organized by Christian initiative and religious dialogue, was performed at Reformatted church in Osijek. Priest of the Reformatted Church Andel Karolj greeted the participants and said a short preach. After that, the believers have prayed for the needs of Baptists, Orthodox, Catholic, Evangelic, Adventist and Reformatted Church. They addressed a special prayer to ones who suffer, and expressed a hope in return of refugees in a peaceful way.
