Thanks to God for the Gift of the Life of Pope John Paul II

Expressions of condolences from Military Bishop Jezerinac to Nunico Lozano on the occasion of the death of the founder of the Military Ordinariate in the Republic of Croatia

Zagreb (IKA) – At these moments, when we are united in prayer for the soul of Pope John Paul II, the Military Ordinariate in the Republic of Croatia is grateful to God for the gift of his life, states the expression of condolences that Military Bishop Juraj Jezerinac and the general vicar of the Military Ordinariate, Msgr. Josip Šantić, sent to the apostolic nuncio in the Republic of Croatia, Archbishop Francisco-Javier Lozano.

They pointed out that this Pope shall remain inscribed in the history of the Military Ordinariate in the Republic of Croatia as the founder and initiator of the creation of its work, noting the wonderful meetings with him when he received our faithful, army and police on several occasions, and gave them encouraging words to persist on the path he had outlined.

“Your Excellency, we request You to be on this occasion an interpreter of love and respect toward the Holy Father from all the faithful members of the military and police forces of the Republic of Croatia, as well as all the staff of the Military Ordinariate, and our sympathies with the whole world and our prayers for Christ to resurrect him, who called him in the Easter Octave, to receive him into his peace and to follow the Lamb together with the other righteous wherever He goes,” read the expression of condolences to Nuncio Lozano.
