The Head of the Government Commission for Relations with Religious Communities Met with the Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States

They agreed that the relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Holy See based upon cooperation agreements are generally excellent.
Zagreb, (IKA) – Božo Biškupić, the Chairman of the Government Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, met with a delegation from the Holy See led by Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States, on Wednesday, October 20.
Minister Biškupić and Archbishop Mamberti agreed that the relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Holy See based upon cooperation agreements are generally excellent. The work of the Government Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and the high level of respect for religious freedom in Croatia were particularly commended. It was noted that the Ministry of Culture is engaged in the protection and restoration of the cultural heritage, placing particular emphasis upon the sacred heritage. The complex and still not fully resolved question of nationalized property was discussed, about which both sides agreed that it is essential to continue the initiated dialogue and coordinate efforts to find the best solution, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Culture.
