The Sorrowful Road of "Vukovar#!s mothers" in front of the Wall of pain

Zagreb, 6. 4. 1996. (IKA) – Society of Disappeared and imprisoned Defenders of Croatia “Vukovar#!s Mothers” remembered, on Good Friday, by the devotion of the
Sorrowful Road, the public in front of the Wall of pain at Headquarters of UN forces in Zagreb, that the destiny of 1.280 Croatian defenders who disappeared or were taken to unprisonment from the Vukovar-Srijem territory is still unknown. The members of the families of disappeared or imprisoned Croatian defenders, gathered at the society “Vukovar#!s Mothers” lead by the guardian of Vukovar monastery brother Branimir Kosec and parish priest from Borovo Naselje brother Ante Perković prayed to God to give them strength to be able to persist in attempting to find out the truth of their dearest, and to return to their homes. “As the Mother of God followed the Cross of Her Son, so Vukovar#!s mothers follow the cross of their children”, said brother Branimir Kosec at the one of the Sorrowful Road Stations. Member of Parliament of Vukovar-Srijem district Juraj Njavro, the Government military commissioner for Vukovar Vidić Bili and Vukovar#!s defenders participated the procession, lead by the wooden Cross, a present to Borovo Naselje parish by Bruno Hrkač.
