Zadar, May 15, 2003 (IKA) — On the occasion of Pope John Paul II’s forthcoming visit to Zadar, the Zadar Archdiocese will present him with a modern edition of the first personal liturgical prayer book to be printed in Croatia, Sister Čika’s breviary from the 11th century, and a model of a device to be donated to the Neurological Ward of the Zadar Hospital.
Sister Čika was the founder of the Benedictine convent in Zadar. The device for the Neurological Ward of the Zadar Hospital was purchased with money collected during this year’s Lenten Appeal by the Zadar Archdiocese.
