The commission urges the authorized institutions and economic subjects to exhibit complete seriousness in the protection of human health regarding the problems connected with the ecological situation in the Republic of Croatia.
Zagreb, (IKA) – A session of the Justitia et Pax Commission, Bishop Vlado Košić presiding, was held on March 28 at the Secretariat of the Croatian Conference of Bishops in Zagreb.
The commission discussed current questions and events in Croatia and expressed particular concern due to the pollution of the air, water and environment, the drastic consequences of which were evident in the recent events in Karlovac and a report on the air quality in Sisak-Moslavina County. The commission urges the authorized institutions and economic subjects to exhibit complete seriousness in the protection of human health regarding the problems connected with the ecological situation in the Republic of Croatia.
The commission will devote the next meeting to the problem of migration, according to the statement issued after the session.
