Thousands of Croatian pilgrims gathered in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican for Mass on October 7, as part of the Croatian National Pilgrimage to Rome. Ahead of the Mass, the pilgrims were greeted by Pope Leo XIV, while the Eucharist was celebrated by the President of the Croatian Bishops’ Conference, Archbishop of Zagreb Dražen Kutleša.

Thousands of Croatian pilgrims from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from other countries where Croats live, gathered on the evening of October 7 in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican on the occassion of the national Jubilee pilgrimage. Before the beginning of the Mass, which was presided by Archbishop of Zagreb Dražen Kutleša, Pope Leo XIV toured the gathered faithful in the popemobile and then addressed them with a welcoming speech.

Croatia and its people were consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 27, in churches and chapels throughout the country.

With the participation of a large crowd of believers and the co-celebration of Msgr. Marin Barišić and more than 40 priests, Metropolitan Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Msgr. Tomo Vukšić blessed the Chapel of Croatian Saints and Blessed ones on Shepherds' Fields in Bethlehem on March 1st, Katolički tjednik reports.

On October 7, 2024, the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary, Pope Francis appointed Msgr. Marko Medo, the current Vicar General of the Military Ordinariate in the Republic of Croatia, as the new Bishop of Gospić-Senj, as announced in the Vatican, Zagreb and Gospić.

In the premises of the Archbishop’s residence in Sarajevo, on Monday 23rd of September, the archbishop of Vrhbosna-Sarajevo, Mons. Tomo Vuksic met with the delegation of the American Bishops’ Conference led by the Cardinal Blase J. Cupich.

On Thursday, September 12, Pope Francis appointed Friar Mladen Vukšić, OFM, as the Bishop of Kotor in Montenegro, as announced by the Apostolic Nunciature in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Until now, he had served as the pastor of the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Posušje, in the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno, and the Definitor of the Herzegovian Franciscan Province of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Vatican Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, presided over the Mass on May 31 for the Feast of the patroness of Zagreb, Our Lady of the Stone Gate. His three-day visit to Croatia included attending the grand opening of the Croatian Catholic University Library and meeting with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
