Meeting between Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Croatia and Representatives of the Croatian Conference of Catholic Bishops in   Požega

A meeting was held at the Bishop’s Residence in Požega between the bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Croatia and representatives of the Croatian Conference of Catholic Bishops on January 17, in a Christmas atmosphere on the eve of the International Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, at the invitation of the Catholic Bishop of Požega, Msgr. Antun Škvorčević, President of the Council of the Croatian Conference of Bishops for Ecumenism and Dialogue.

Meeting Held with Representative of Media Organizations at the Headquarters of the Croatian Conference of Bishops

On Thursday, January 17, at the initiative of the Archbishop and Metropolitan of Rijeka, Msgr. Ivan Devčić, President of the Committee of the Croatian Conference of Bishops for the Mass Media, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Croatian Conference of Bishops in Zagreb between representative of the Croatian Catholic Network and representatives of other electronic and print media organizations.

Interview with Cardinal Josip Bozanić: It is necessary to open the archives and revise the account of history created during the totalitarian regime in Croatia

The Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, gave an extensive interview to the Croatian Catholic Network (HKM) during the last days of the ad limina visit by the Croatian bishops to Rome. He was interviewed by Slavko Antunović, a journalist and editor of the Catholic Press Agency—IKA—Zagreb, and spoke, among other things, about meeting with the Holy Father, Blessed Alojzije Stepinac and the need to open the historical archives in Croatia.

Cardinal Bozanić in Krašić: “Suffering remains a challenge for every person.”

On October 3, the twentieth anniversary of the beatification of Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac, the priests of the ecclesiastical territory of Zagreb made a pilgrimage to the parish of the Most Holy Trinity in Krašić, the birthplace of the beatus. Mass was led by the Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, in concelebration with the bishops and priests of the Metropolitan Archdiocese.
