On Thursday, November 12, Fra Gabrijel Badurina, a religious and priest of the Province of the Glagolitic Franciscans of the Third Order Regular, died in the Dubrava Clinical Hospital in Zagreb following a long illness at 85 years of age, having lived 68 years as a religious and 58 years as a priest.  

Following a meeting of representatives of the Croatian Conference of Bishops with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on Monday, October 19, the Government Public Relations Service and the Press Office of the CCB issued a joint statement, which we convey in its entirety.  

The episcopal ordination of Msgr. Milan Stipić as the Bishop of Križevci was held in Križevci on Saturday, October 17, outside the Greek Catholic Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity.

In Pope Francis’ third encyclical, Fratelli tutti (All Brothers), issued on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, October 4, 2020, he quotes the Letter from the Croatian Conference of Bishops on the Fiftieth Anniversary of the End of the Second World War, signed on May 1, 1995, according to Fratellanza umana.

On September 17, the Justitia et Pax Commission of the Croatian Conference of Bishops issued a statement entitled The COVID-19 Pandemic: A Test of Solidarity and Fraternity, which we hereby present in its entirety: 

On September 16, in the newly built Church of the Holy Family in Solin, Msgr. Ante Jozić, the Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus, was ordained as the Titular Archbishop of Cissa. Cardinal Petro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, was the principal consecrator, with Archbishop and Metropolitan Marin Barišić of Split-Makarska and Coadjutor Archbishop Dražen Kutleša, as the coconsecrators. 

On Monday, September 14, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Msgr. Dr. Petar Palić assumed the offices of the Bishop of Mostar-Duvno and Apostolic Administrator of Trebinje-Mrkan.

The Second Croatian Youthfest, organized by the Office of Youth Ministry of the Sisak Diocese and the Legion of Mary in Petrinja, was held in Petrinja from October 11 to 13, with the motto: “Let anyone who is thirsty come!” 

On June 10, 2020, the anniversary of the proclamation of St. Joseph as the patron saint of Croatia by the Croatian Parliament in 1687, the Croatian Conference of Bishops (CCB) issued a message on the upcoming  parliamentary elections scheduled for July 5, which we hereby present in its entirety.
