Letter from the Bishops of the Croatian Conference of Bishops to Priests and the Faithful on the Conducting of Holy Masses and Other Liturgical Celebrations during the COVID-19 Epidemic

On Thursday, April 30, the bishops of the Croatian Conference of Bishops issued a letter to priests and the faithful on the conducting of Masses and other liturgical celebrations during the COVID-19 epidemic, which stated, among other things, that each bishop would adopt specific provisions for his diocese, based upon the recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.

Archbishop Puljić: “The family now has an essential role in the Church community”

In the context of limiting the spread of COVID-19, on Thursday, March 19, the archbishop of Zadar, Msgr. Želimir Puljić, president of the Croatian Conference of Bishops, was interviewed on Croatan Catholic Radio (HKR) about the provisional regulations adopted by the CCB, which were to go into effect on Friday, March 20, until further notice.

Regulations Issued by the Croatian Conference of Bishops to Limit the Spread of COVID-19

Cognizant of the present challenging circumstances, as shareholders of the responsibility for the health and lives of the faithful and other citizens, and in compliance with the most recent measures by the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Institute of Public Health and the Ministry of Health, we, the bishops of the Croatian Conference of Bishops, hereby adopt provisional measures that shall enter into effect on Friday, March 20, 2020, and remain in effect pending a different decision.
