Statement by Provincial Minister Jure Šarčević on the Appointment of the Franciscan Capuchin Ivica Petanjak as the Bishop of Krk
To Capuchins, especially Friar Ivica, appointment to the rank of bishop is a great challenge for the Capuchin charism of simplicity, evangelical poverty, humble service and closeness to people to become more evident through his episcopal service.

Message Issued by the Bishops of the Croatian Conference of Bishops on the Forthcoming Presidential Election
The bishops expressed the hope that the future President will be a person who by his/her example will set a precedent by standing up for the rights of the oppressed, especially the poor, warn of the need for a change in mentality, rejecting the functionalist and privatized mindset that inexorably leads to a "throwaway culture," and strongly support the more just distribution of goods and the dignity of work.
