President of serbian civil council mirko pejanović visited cardinal Puljić

Sarajevo, 8. 3. 1996. (IKA/KTA) – Vrh-Bosnia Archbishop Vinko Cardinal Puljić received the president of Serbian Civil Council, with center in Sarajevo, dr. Mirko Pejanović, at archbishop#!s residence, Thursday, 7th March. During the meeting, they discussed the actual questions concerning the living in Sarajevo and at entire Bosnia and Herzegovina (specially in those parts that are already under the control of the Federation), and the city of Sarajevo constitution. The participants of the meeting agreed that it was necessary to persist in intention to save the equal rights of all persons who live in it. They also concluded it was necessary to persist on rights of every person to stay at his property, and to enable to all persecuted persons to return to their homes. It is important, for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to save its multiethnic character, and because of that, Sarajevo should be built according the interests of all people who live in it, Cardinal Puljić and his guest dr. Pejanović agreed concluding, at the end of the meeting, that they could expect, with reason, from international community to stop the manipulation with the people concerning the displacing.
Dr. Pejanović congratulated Cardinal Puljić on the award he had got from the Holy See, during the meeting, emphasizing that it had came in the right hands of the man who had defended, during the war, the moral principles of the dignity of every person, specially proclaiming persistently the right on life, home, and cultural, confessional and national identity.
