Bishop Komarica: ten years of episcopal consecration

Banja Luka bishop Franjo Komarica has celebrated ten years of his Episcopal consecration by a solemn pontifical Mass at the Cathedral of St. Bonaventura in Banja Luka, on the holiday of Epiphany, 6th January this year.
Banja Luka, 9. 1. 1996. (IKA) – Banja Luka bishop Franjo Komarica has celebrated ten years of his Episcopal consecration by a solemn pontifical Mass at the Cathedral of St. Bonaventura in Banja Luka, on the holiday of Epiphany, 6th January this year.
Bishop Komarica called all gathered believers and clergy to be united in the prayer for the whole Banja Luka diocese, for all refugees and displaced persons, for all, from the territory of Banja Luka, who had paid their faith in Christ by death of a martyr. In his preach, bishop Komarica emphasized the strength of the Holy Spirit, the Consoler, received with baptism. But, also, with episcopal consecration. Bishop Komarica repeated the words of Köln Archbishop Joachim Cardinal Meisner said on the same occasion: “We know that God turns to good everything to those who love. You, in Banja Luka, stand as a symbol, not only as a witness of the faith in our Catholic
Church, but as a witness of freedom and right of every man to have his country, his homeland.”
